An Phung is the Chairwoman of the Financial and Accounting Services Committee of the Hokenson Group Advisory Board. Her areas of expertise include Financial Accounting and Reporting, Treasury Operations, Business Process Improvement within the Telecommunications and Hospitality Services Sectors.

Most recently, Ms. Phung was the Chief Financial Officer of Startec Global Communications Corporation (www.startec.com), a communications services firm based in Rockville, Maryland. At the time, Startec was owned by Allied Capital (www.alliedcapital.com), a leader in the private finance industry with over $5 billion in assets. Ms. Phung was instrumental in the effort to return Startec to profitability. As a result, in 2007 Startec was sold to Platinum Equity (www.platinumequity.com), which was listed #22 on the 2006 Forbes Largest Private Companies list.

Prior to her position at Startec, Ms. Phung held various Executive level finance positions at Interstate Hotels & Resorts (www.ihrco.com) and its predecessor companies. Ms. Phung was also a Supervising Senior Auditor at KPMG (www.kpmg.com).

Ms. Phung received a B.A. in Accounting from the College of William and Mary and is a Certified Public Accountant. She currently resides in Arlington, Virginia.
